Amid the ongoing uncertainty of COVID-19, we have modified our cancellation policy to offer greater flexibility to all of our clients. We hope this will alleviate any stress and hesitation you have about an upcoming appointment. If you need to reschedule for whatever reason, and especially if you are not feeling well, we understand and request for you to please contact us as soon as possible to reschedule. To further support you, there will be no penalties for cancellations right now. You will be expected to read a COVID Consent Form before a first appointment.
The health and safety of our clients and staff is very important to us. If you are experiencing a fever, cough, or sore throat, please reschedule your appointment for when you are no longer symptomatic. If you have been in close contact with a person infected with COVID-19, we ask that you please reschedule your appointment for 14 days past the date of contact.
Appointments are either at my downtown Silver Spring office, or at your home (see "Services and Rates" for outcall surcharge).
Office hours at my Silver Spring office (or your home) are by appointment only, but generally include:
Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday 7:30pm-9:30pm
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday 11:00am-5:30pm
Sunday and Saturday 12:30-5:30pm
(CURRENTLY, I have no office hours on Tuesdays.)
For first appointments, please either bring a filled out Health Information form (under "Client Forms", and/or Health Intake form that I've emailed to you) with you and expect to spend 10-30 minutes discussing your health history OR fill out an intake form at my office and discuss your health history, for a total of 20-40 extra minutes. I always make sure that my clients get the amount of time on the table that they have paid for, unless they are late and I have a client coming right afterwards.
Once we have confirmed your appointment, please understand that I have reserved this time for our work together, which means that I am not available to work with anybody else. If you need to cancel, please be respectful of my time and kindly give at least 24 hours notice for any cancellations or requests to reschedule, so that I may offer your time slot to another client.
Cancellation Policy (modified above in 2020, due to COVID-19)
We understand that unanticipated events happen occasionally in everyone’s life. In our desire to be effective and fair to all clients, the following policies are honored, except in emergency circumstances:
24 hour advance notice is required when canceling an appointment. This allows the opportunity for someone else to schedule an appointment. If you are unable to give us 24 hours advance notice you will be charged the full amount of your appointment. This amount must be paid prior to your next scheduled appointment.
No-shows
Anyone who either forgets or consciously chooses to forgo their appointment for whatever reason will be considered a “no-show.” They will be charged for their “missed” appointment.
Late Arrivals
If you arrive late, your session may be shortened in order to accommodate others whose appointments follow yours. Depending upon how late you arrive, your therapist will then determine if there is enough time remaining to start a treatment. Regardless of the length of the treatment actually given, you will be responsible for the “full” session. Out of respect and consideration to your therapist and other customers, please plan accordingly and be on time.
We look forward to serving you!
